Inspired by the Reisbureau Mercatus narrative involving the house martins of Rupelmonde (seasonal migratory birds), Madeleine Wermenbol produced two ‘nesteroids’: ceramic ‘nests’ with a crater texture.
The brown version was colored with sludge from the river Scheld; the green version has tiny holes suggesting an interior view on star constellations.
