For an exhibition in various private houses in Ninove (STATIONSSTR. – NINOVE, organised by Voorkamer kunstenaarsinitiatief Lier) I transformed the inside of a second-hand cabinet in a spatial puzzle of wooden planes, drawn lines and objects. Inspired by a fresco by Lucas Suppin in one of the houses, I made a geometrical composition with objects that relate to what I found in the interiors of some of the owners. Based upon a series of still images photographed ‘inside’ the cabinet, I made a video supported by a voice reading a text written by Georges Perec about puzzles (preambule of La vie – mode d’emploi, 1978).
